A community of Cornell students passionate about doing good better.

Want to make a positive impact with your career? Effective altruism is about finding the best way to do it.

Our mission is to foster a community of students at Cornell who care deeply about the world, make helping others a significant part of their lives, and use evidence and reason to figure out how best to do so.

How to Get Involved?

In Summer of 2024, we will be running our Impact Hour Reading/Discussion Group! Each week, we’ll read and discuss an article or research paper and tackle a range of topics meant to give our members a survey of the broader effective altruism and global catastrophic risk (GCR) space! Spots are limited and you can join by emailing cjs386@cornell.edu.

Interested in our research groups, attending weekly meetings, or one of our fellowships we run during the semester? You can show your interested by filling out this forum and we’ll reach out ahead of the new semester!

Just want to learn more about what EA is and how it can be used to enhance your career goals?
